| Original text | Ο χορός Μαντηλάτος, του οποίου η μουσική παρατίθεται (τραγούδι "Δέντρο είχα στην αυλή μου...") εξ ηχογραφήσεως εις Καρωτήν, εκτελείται υπό χορευτών, εκ των οποίων ο καθένας κρατεί υψηλά ένα μανδήλι από τας δύο γωνίας του ώστε να είναι τεντωμένον, ενώ δε χορεύουν το κινούν ρυθμικώς. Η μουσική του είναι εις 5/8 εις δύο κινήσεις και τόνον sol=la. |
| English translation | The Mandilatos dance, to which the music is further attached/quoted (The song “I had a tree in my yard”) on a recording in Karoti, is danced by dancers with each holding high a kerchief by its two corners - so that it is folded, and they move it rhythmically while dancing. The music is at 5/8 to two moves and the tones sol-la. |
