| Original text | Ολοι οι Μπάλλοι έχουν σταυρωτά και συρτά βήματα, όχι πηδήματα, κλωτσιές και καθίσματα. Είναι ζευγαρωτοί και πολύ χαρούμενοι, οι χορευταί κρατούν μαντήλια στο χέρι. Ο άντρας ξεκινάει πάντα με το αριστερό πόδι, η γυναίκα με το δεξί. Στον κύκλο είναι μέσα οι άντρες. Παρουσιάστηκε πρώτα το 1949 από την Γυμναστική Ακαδημία στο Στάδιο υπό τον Χαράλαμπο Σακελαρίου. Περιγράφονται τα βήματα, φιγούρες, με σχήματα πελμάτων και καταγραφή της μουσικής σε μέτρο 2/4. |
| English translation | All the Mpalos dances have steps for Staurotos and Syrtos, without jumps, kicks or sit-ups. They are danced in couples and very joyful, the dancers hold kerchiefs in their hands. The man always starts with his left leg, the woman with her right one. In the circle, the men are on the inside. The dance was first danced in 1949 by the Gymnastic Academy at the Stadium of Charalambos Sakelariou. The steps, figures and sole schemes, as well as the transcript of music in 2/4 described and attached. |
